Located 30 minutes south of Orlando, the Magic Kingdom is off Interstate 4. The closest airport to the Walt Disney World resort is Orlando International Airport.

The best time to go is when the park is the least crowded. And it is from Labor Day to Thanksgiving and from the week after the President's Day holiday (in mid-February) to the start of Spring Break, in mid-March. The best days to visit the Magic Kingdom are Fridays and Saturdays, as most of Disney World's visitors are out-of-towners who travel on the weekend. They usually make the Magic Kingdom among their first stops early in the week.

And it does not matter when you visit, you should arrive early, about an hour before the scheduled opening time, to get in place to visit many popular attractions early, prior to lines build later in the day.

You may buy tickets on Disney World website, but you cannot print the tickets at home, that is you must order early enough to have the tickets mailed to you.

The tickets are also sold through your local auto club, Disney Store or through a school or work activities office; many offsite hotels also sell Disney passports at their front desks.

Anyway buy your tickets before you get to the park, as you may waste the first couple hours of your first day's visit waiting in line at the ticket booths.

In case you are traveling with toddlers, you may head for Fantasyland first thing in the morning, as several popular kids' rides in that area, especially Dumbo and Peter Pan, have low capacities and build long waits early in the day. If you are not, then go west to Frontierland when the park opens, visiting Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain, then doubling back to the Jungle Cruise. And if the park's busy, save Tomorrowland's Space Mountain for later in the evening when the crowds thin.

You should also take advantage of Disney's FastPass, a ride reservation system. The pass only applies to certain attractions.
